Dog bite

I have had a few traumatic days, you may want to know. I was bitten by a dog on my leg, apparently a cross between a Bullmastiff and Rothviler. It was a huge dog. The bite marks are here for you to see.

This is not the only interesting this that has happened since 11 July. How pathetic and wretched do you think I am? Don’t answer that. I have also had a bad back for a few weeks in October. I measure my success by my illnesses and injuries.

All jokes aside! We are beside our selves with excitement for our upcoming Pilgrimage. I am beside Katrina, she is beside Layla, Layla is beside Neil, he is beside me and so the circle goes on.

Seriously! We are all reasonably well. Katrina, my darling and beautiful wife is having a ball of the time, except that she is always cold. I think we need to move to a warmer country. Layla has started University and seems to be enjoying herself. She is doing Graphic Design at University of Teesside. She stays away during the week and comes home for the weekends. Neil, currently 6feet+ and rising, is in his last year of the GCSE and hopes to continue at a nearby college doing a National Diploma course in Media (Moving Image).

We had a great time in Ireland in August. I love my in-laws and had a great time visiting them all. Anne and Brain are finally alone as the last of the brood left the family home recently. Brian went on a second journey during this summer, from Lands End to John O’Groats and shared his thoughts and poetry with those he met along the way.

However, you must agree that the dog bite is still the winner.

Neil and his mate have been coming to my work for nearly 2 weeks now. This is for his work experience from school. They have visited a lot of places that have restricted access such as the inside of the Tyne Bridge Towers, underneath the Tyne Tunnel, inside the bridge structures and much more. They have shadowed a number of staff to see and experience different types of work and have attended technical seminars. It hasn’t all been fun; they have also had to do some work. However, I have had some problem teaching Neil how to make my tea.

Layla is expected home this Friday, by The Grace of God. Katrina will be going to London to collect her and bring her back. We are all very much exited. I don’t know about her. We have been doing up, tidying and cleaning her room. How much (girly) stuff does that child have?

What can I say about Katrina? I just love her so much. The woman gets younger and more attractive every day.

Me! I am just a wreck.

Some brief News for family and friends:

We have all been invited to go on Pilgrimage in December. We are all very exited about it. Can't wait.

Layla has been on a 10 month Year of Service at Bosch Bahá'í School and she will be returning home in a few weeks. I dropped her off last October and Katrina and Neil went to stay with her in April. Bosch is a very nice place. It is set in the beautiful red wood mountains Californiarna.

Neil is 6 feet and is coming to my work for about 2 weeks work experience. A bit of bonding between father and son.

Katrina is as lovely as ever.

I like to welcome all my family and friends (if anyone is brave enough to admit to this) to my blog.

I must, at this point, apologise in advance for my poor espelling and warn that I don’t need to be reminded of it or have it corrected. I know! There is a spell check.

I wish to categorically express my endless and eternal love for my beautiful and precious wife as we approach our 20 wedding anniversary on 26 July 2006.

I also like to say that my life would be a meaningless hollow shell without my beautiful and handsome angels.

This is begining to sound like the oscars.
